The whole family will love these Brownies :) They are really delicious when still warm and gooey, you can't help but want to add some cream, coconut yoghurt or icecream :o

These Brownies are Gluten Free, Dairy Free and Egg Free. Check out the notes at the bottom for alterations to make this lower carb and reduce the sugar content.

  • 1 Cup Almond Meal
  • 1/2 Cup whisked Chickpea Juice (Aquafaba)
  • 3/4 Cup Raw Cacao
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Granulated Sweetner of your choice (For low carb choose Erythritol or Xylitol, using 3/4 cup. I chose to use a combination of Coconut sugar and erythritol to make sure I got that Gooey Brownie taste and texture, but experiment to meet your own tastes :)
  • 1tsp Baking Paper
  • 1/2 Cup Macadmia nut butter (You could sub in any type of nut butter here....but gosh the macadamia butter was YUmmmm)
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 Dark low sugar Choc chips (You can use whatever sort you like here or use chocolate you've made at home :) )

  • Preheat oven to 180o
  • In a small bowl empty juice from a Can of chickpeas , whisk until light and fluffy and resembling egg whites
  • In a large mixing bowl combine all of your dry ingredients and mix well
  • Add Aquafaba (chickpea juice) Macadamia butter and vanilla extract, stir well
  • Fold through Choc Chips
  • Line a tray with grease proof paper
  • Spread mixture with spatula in tray
  • Bake for approx 30-35 min until edges are crisp and skewer comes out clean
  • Middle of Brownie should still be gooey and delicious
  • Allow Brownies to cool before slicing

I didn't tell my kids what was in these Brownies, I just simply yelled 'Brownies are ready' and they al came running LOL

I hope you family enjoy these as much as mine did. Experiment with sugar types and qtys until you find the one your family will love :)
