To be able to eat healthy, delicious meals cooked while you sleep or work. Arrive home after a busy day and dinner is on the table in minutes!
This quick easy Brisket is super quick and super easy without much prep time required so everyone will be able to impress the whole family with this meal.
Slow Cooked Brisket What's in it?
Approx 2kg Brisket (ask your butcher not to trim all of the fat off to make sure the meat doesn't get to dry while cooking.
2 Cups chopped onion
2 Tblsp Tomato Paste
3/4 Beef Stock
2 Tblsp Dijon Mustard
1/2 cup Tomato Ketchup (recipe below)
2 Tblsp Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tblsp Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tsp Liquid smoke
How do I make it?
Lightly Salt Brisket
2 Tblps Macadmia or Olive Oil in a fry pan
Brown Brisket on all sides
Place Brisket in Slow Cooker
Cook Onion for 2 minutes
Add all other ingredients
Pour Sauce over Brisket in Slow Cooker
Cook on Low for 12 hours (may only require 8-10 if using a smaller cut of meat)
After 12 hours pull Brisket apart with fork, meat should fall apart.
Use hand mixer (like a bamix) to blend up remainder of sauce in Slow Cooker. Serve sauce with Brisket.
To make your own ketchup as included in the above recipe is super easy and will keep in the fridge for many weeks until you need it again.
What you need...
3/4 Cup Tomato paste
2 Tblsp Coconut Vinegar (or Lemon juice)
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/3 cup water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 pinch of cloves
1 pinch of all spice
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk.
