The need for us to spend time Relaxing from the daily stresses in life is more important than we realise. Constant stress on our bodies from the working day or family life can often lead to health problems, like weight gain, weakening of the immune system causing us to get sick and even increasing blood pressure.

The more stressed you are, the more cortisol your body produces. Cortisol is a “fight or flight” hormone made in the adrenal glands that raises heart rate and blood pressure and leads to the deposit of excess calories in the midsection.
Scientific evidence also shows that infrared sauna therapy helps the body maintain healthy levels of cortisol. While cortisol levels stay the same or rise slightly during a sauna therapy session, they drop immediately afterward.

We request that you ensure you are well hydrated prior to commencing your Sauna session. We will provide you with water to drink during the Sauna however please ensure you have had at least 750ml in the hour prior.

We recommend that you do not consume a large meal within an hour to your Sauna time commencing.
We recommend that you do not have a Sauna immediately following strenuos exercise as the body is already dehyrdrated and you may not achieve optimal results and could put yourself at risk.

The Infrared Sauna is not recommended for Children under 16 years of age.

As a rule the infrared sauna is general safe for everyone to use however if you have any of the below conditions, please consult with your doctor before use.

  • Adrenal suppression
  • SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematous)
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Hemophilia
  • enclosed infections (dental, joints, tissue)
  • artificial joints
  • metal pins, or any other implants do not generally interfer with the Infrwared Sauna however it is recommended discussing with your practitioner.
  • Also, check with your physician or pharmacist for any possible effects that infrared radiation may have on how the drug interacts with the body.

If, at any point during your session in the Infrared Sauna you stop sweating, your skin becomes clammy, you feel weak, tired or nauseous, LEAVE THE SAUNA IMMEDIATELY.
